A week after her mother's unfortunate passing, Brooke Shields is speaking out about the unbreakable love and bond between in their relationship.

The "Suddenly Susan" actress told press on Tuesday (November 6) that, although her mom had been suffering from dementia in the recent past, there was still an undeniable connection between the two, explaining, "My mother was an enormous part of my life and of who I am today."

"I loved her, laughed with her, and respected her," Shields continued. "And although she had her share of struggles, she was my mom."

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Teri passed away on October 31 at the age of 79. She died in Manhattan after a long illness related to her dementia.

Aside from just being the mom to one of Hollywood's most recognizable faces, Teri was also Brooke's manager and was the person to help her break into the entertainment industry.
