FX's two-hour broadcast , which featured four live preliminary-card fights, averaged 980,000 viewers. That's down from the 1 million who tuned in for the two-hour prelims show for UFC 153 in October.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Monday confirmed the figures with industry sources.
UFC 154 took place Nov. 17 at Bell Centre in Montreal. The FX broadcast followed additional prelims on Facebook and preceded the night's pay-per-view main card, which featured welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre's return after a long absence to beat interim champ Carlos Condit by unanimous decision, 49-46, 50-45, 50-45 in a bloody battle that in many ways was closer than the scores might otherwise indicate.
FX's four-fight lineup included a controversial win for Patrick Cote over Alessio Sakara when Sakara was disqualified for illegal strikes to the back of the head.
To date, FX has aired 12 PPV prelims specials. UFC 154's falls eighth out of 12. Overall, the 12c broadcasts have averaged 1.2 million viewers per event.
FX's next preliminary-card broadcast takes place in conjunction with next month's UFC 155 event in Las Vegas. Prior to the PPV main card and Junior Dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez headliner, FX airs four prelims that are expected to include notables such as Eddie Wineland, Brad Pickett and Chris Leben.
